How we work
At SOLOKO, we are directly involved in every step of the production process – from design and material selection to ensuring the highest quality in execution and the final product.
Our work is deeply rooted in collaboration. We maintain close partnerships with skilled artisans, fostering a creative exchange built on mutual respect and personal relationships. This synergy allows us to create products that honor tradition while incorporating meaningful design.
The heart of SOLOKO is our own workshop, located in the beautiful rural Volta Region of Ghana. This facility also serves as the headquarters of our partner company, SOLOKO Ghana Concepts Ltd. Here, we operate our own weaving workshop, where traditional hand-weaving techniques are meticulously preserved. Using a variety of looms, our artisans infuse each piece with centuries-old expertise, giving our products their distinct character and setting them apart from mass-produced industrial goods.
Beyond weaving, our workshop is where the final touches come together – sewing, washing, and quality control. We have established a rigorous quality assurance process to maintain the highest
standards in our products, ensuring durability and excellence.

In addition to our in-house production, we collaborate with small, independent workshops, particularly in the fields of recycled mouthblown glass and basket weaving. By working with these specialized artisans, we support our mission of preserving traditional craftsmanship while fostering sustainable economic opportunities.
At SOLOKO, quality, authenticity, and tradition are at the core of everything we do, ensuring that each product carries the unique signature of the craftsman who made it.
